The Whitney Brothers STEM Activity Desk with Trays gives two young learners a shared place to build, sketch and test ideas side by side. Its dry erase top turns the entire work surface into a planning space, while the center console keeps supplies right where little hands need them. It's preschool STEM furniture we're proud to bring to classrooms, daycares and homes across North America.

Key Features of the STEM Activity Desk with Gratnell Trays

• Two Student Bays - Room for two children to work at once, so partners can share a project or settle into their own task without crowding each other.
• Three-Shelf Center Console - Built into the middle of the desk so manipulatives stay within easy reach and cleanup becomes part of every STEM activity.
• Two Gratnell Trays Included - Tray storage right inside the console gives supplies and works in progress a home of their own.
• Non-Ghosting Dry Erase Markerboard Surface - A high quality markerboard top that wipes clean without leaving shadows, ready for the next number line or design sketch.
• Raised Perimeter Lip - A lip around the top edge keeps manipulatives in place, so small parts stay on the desk instead of the floor.
• Durable Birch Plywood Construction - Beautiful birch plywood built to withstand rigorous use, giving schools and families classroom furniture that holds up year after year.
• Non-Toxic Natural UV Finish - A safe finish that won't yellow, so the desk keeps its natural look.
• Certified Antimicrobial Finish - An added layer of reassurance for busy classrooms and shared spaces where many hands use the same surface every day.
• GreenGuard Gold Certified - Certified for low chemical emissions, which matters in any room where children learn and play.
• Made in USA - Crafted in the United States by Whitney Brothers, a trusted name in early childhood furniture.
• Compatible Seating Options - Pairs with the WB1685 Rolling Seat and Storage Tray or any Whitney Plus Chair (each sold separately), letting you build a complete makerspace station.

How a Dry Erase Activity Table Supports Focus and Hands-On Learning

A defined workspace helps children know where a task begins and ends. The raised edge and nearby trays create a predictable setup many learners find easier to settle into, including neurodiverse children who thrive with structure and routine. Drawing and writing on the markerboard offers natural fine motor practice, and sharing the desk encourages turn-taking and conversation. For OTs and learning support teams, it's a practical station for guided tabletop work.
