The Experia Sound Wall is a wall-mounted interactive music panel that responds to touch, available across North America. Standing over 5ft tall (48"W x 51"H x 5"D), it features eight coloured hand shapes across its surface — each one wired to a different sound. Touch any hand and hear its sound immediately. Touch the hands in a sequence and create music. The interaction is as simple as it is engaging, and the cause-and-effect connection between hand position, colour, and sound is immediate and reliable.
The internal sound module contains over 128 sound effects and instruments — enough variety to sustain extended sessions without repetition. The module is card-based and card-upgradeable: plug a new sound card into the card reader and the entire sound library changes. This means the same Sound Wall can be reprogrammed for different therapeutic goals, seasonal themes, curriculum units, or individual user preferences without any technical expertise — pull out the current card, insert a new one, and the sounds are different.
The unit has a built-in amplifier and two speakers, so no external audio equipment is needed. The Sound Wall is designed to be wall-mounted for stability — at the dimensions and weight of this unit, wall mounting is the appropriate and confirmed installation approach for any permanent sensory room or classroom setup.
All components operate on low voltage via the included transformer plugged into a standard 110v outlet. Adult supervision required. Ages 3+. Made in the USA.
Key Features of the Experia Sound Wall
-
Eight Coloured Hands - Each Producing a Different Sound on Touch - The Sound Wall features eight differently coloured hand shapes across its surface; each hand is wired to a distinct sound, and touching any hand triggers its corresponding sound immediately. Users can touch individual hands for single sounds or touch hands in sequence to create musical patterns.
-
Over 128 Sound Effects and Instruments on Internal Sound Module - The built-in sound module contains more than 128 sound effects and musical instruments, providing extensive variety for extended sensory and therapeutic sessions without repetition.
-
Card-Upgradeable Sound Library - New Sounds via Card Slot - The sound module is card-based; plugging a new card into the card reader instantly changes the entire sound library. This allows the same Sound Wall to be reprogrammed for different therapeutic goals, user profiles, or curriculum themes without technical expertise.
-
Built-In Amplifier and Two Speakers - All audio is produced and projected by the unit's own built-in amplifier and two speakers; no external audio equipment, Bluetooth connection, or additional setup is required.
-
Over 5ft Tall - Accessible to Children and Adults at Standing Height - At 51 inches tall, the eight hand panels span a height range accessible to both children and standing adults, making the Sound Wall appropriate for all ages and a wide range of user heights.
-
Wall-Mounted for Stability - The unit must be wall-mounted; wall mounting is the confirmed installation approach for all permanent sensory room setups with this product.
-
Low Voltage Operation via Included Transformer - Operates on low voltage through the included transformer, plugged into a standard 110v outlet.
-
Made in the USA - Manufactured by Experia USA.
Skills Developed Through the Experia Sound Wall
-
Cause and Effect - Touching a coloured hand and hearing the corresponding sound immediately creates a direct, clear, and repeatable cause-and-effect connection — one of the most fundamental developmental skill areas this product is designed to support.
-
Music Making and Sequencing - Touching hands in a specific order to create a musical sequence develops planning, sequencing, and pattern recognition through an intrinsically motivating musical context.
-
Colour Recognition - Each hand is a different colour; identifying and selecting specific hands by colour develops colour recognition and discrimination alongside the musical interaction.
-
Fine Motor and Hand Function - Reaching toward, localising, and pressing the hand shapes on the wall develops intentional hand function and fine motor reach-and-touch skills.
-
Communication and Vocalisation - The immediate auditory response to touch creates a natural context for vocalisation, turn-taking, and musical communication — particularly relevant for non-verbal communication development and vocally motivated interactions.
-
Attention and Focus - The Sound Wall holds attention reliably through its combination of visual colour coding and immediate auditory reward; sustained engagement with the eight hands develops focused attention across extended sensory sessions.
