The Jonti-Craft Literacy Station is an all-in-one classroom literacy centre combining a cushioned two-seater reading bench, a writing desktop, and ample storage in a single integrated unit, available now across Canada & the US at The Sensory Supply. Designed for preschool through primary classrooms and suitable for home use, it gives children a dedicated, beautifully made space where reading, writing, and creative work happen together - all within the footprint of one piece of furniture.
Built from eleven-ply 5/8" Baltic Birch - the strongest plywood available for classroom furniture - using Jonti-Craft's proprietary KYDZStrong dowel-pin construction, this station is engineered to outlast standard classroom furniture. The KYDZTuff finish resists stains and will not yellow over time. Every edge is rounded to a minimum half-inch radius using Jonti-Craft's KYDZSafe system, protecting children during active, unstructured use.
Note: The chair and accessories are sold separately. The Literacy Station includes the bench, desktop, and storage unit. Additional seating and supplementary items should be purchased to complete the setup.
