There are moments in a play space that stop everyone in the room - visitors, educators, therapists, parents, and children alike. The LiteZilla Ultimate Scarf Launcher is one of them. Available across Canada & the US through The Sensory Supply, this air-powered sensory exhibit shoots vibrant scarves through a network of clear tubes before launching them into the air in a cascade of colour and movement. The result is a signature installation that draws people in, keeps them engaged, and gives every visit something genuinely new.
This is not a passive display. Users feed scarves into the inlet points and actively steer their path by adjusting diverters - redirecting airflow to send each scarf down a different route through the tube network. The experience changes every single time, which is exactly why it works so well in high-traffic environments. Museums, children's hospitals, schools, STEM centres, therapy clinics, indoor play venues, and community recreation spaces have all found it to be among the most-visited installations in their facility.
The exhibit is available in three sizes - 8'W x 8'H, 12'W x 8'H, and 10'W x 10'H - and is built to fit its environment. The tube system can be wall-mounted, extended across ceilings, or wrapped around corners for a fully immersive multi-directional experience. The inlets, outlets, and accessories can be shaped into rockets, animals, trains, nature scenes, or puzzle pieces to match any theme. Spinning gears and other interactive elements can be added to extend the sensory and mechanical engagement further.
The scarf launcher is a rare combination of visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive input delivered within an active, exploratory format. The movement of floating scarves provides calming visual tracking opportunities, while the act of feeding scarves into inlets and adjusting diverters delivers meaningful proprioceptive input through the hands and arms. For children with sensory processing differences or those following a sensory diet, the predictable cause-and-effect cycle - feed the scarf, watch it travel, catch it, repeat - creates a deeply satisfying regulatory loop. For neurotypical children, it is simply extraordinary to watch and play with.
The exhibit is equally effective as a shared experience. The scarf catch at the end naturally invites social interaction, turn-taking, and communication between players, making it valuable in group therapy settings, inclusive classrooms, and family play environments.
Ideal for museums, children's hospitals, STEM and science centres, occupational therapy clinics, inclusive classrooms, community recreation centres, indoor play venues, sensory room installations, daycares, and libraries across North America.
